Blue Ridge Sport Flight offers flight training for Private, Instrument, Commercial, Flight Instructor, and ATP licenses at Hendersonville Airport, just a short drive from Asheville and Greenville.  Instruction is provided by Greg Collins, Western North Carolina's only Gold Seal Master Flight Instructor.  Greg is a career instructor and aviation enthusiast.  Greg is also an A&P Mechanic specializing in Rotax Engine service.

The national average for completion of Private Pilot training is over 70 hours.  The average time at Blue Ridge is 45 hours.  A highly experienced instructor can save you thousands of dollars that can be better used to enjoy your new license and to build better skills by adding an instrument rating or a tailwheel endorsement.

Hendersonville is a fun little country airport just minutes from Asheville Regional - get the best of both worlds! 

We have both grass and paved runways.  Our time from engine start to take off is usually less than 5 minutes, at the big controlled fields it can take 15 to 29 minutes just to get in the air!  In an hour we can fly to Asheville, work with air traffic controllers and get valuable radio experience, and return to Hendersonville to land on a short grass field with the Cubs and the Stearmans!
